Sales Rep – Electrical Substation Equipment

You can hold your own in discussions about sub-transmission line voltages, airbreak switches, voltage regulation, feeder lines, pad transformers, and substation configurations in general;

We provide equipment brokering services to the Energy Industry across North America.  We are looking to hire a full-time Inside Sales Advisor/Representative to help build relationships and process inquiries from sellers and buyers seeking to complete disposal & procurement transactions. 


This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to apply their knowledge of Electrical Utilities or similar MV/HV environments to earn some attractive remuneration as part of our team.  If you view Sales as using your knack for problem solving and helping others, this could be a great opportunity for you.  We’re willing to coordinate flexible hours of work that fit with your goals and lifestyle, and most of your work can be done from home if that’s your preference.


What You Will Be Doing:


  • Initiating, advancing and managing customer relationships. Learning and evaluating customer operations to aid in identifying customer objectives, requirements and preferences.
  • Processing email/telephone inquiries from Sellers by confirming assets for divestment, providing pricing guidance, ensuring master agreements are current and finalizing listings.  
  • Processing inquiries from Buyers by answering questions, relaying their offers, and helping advise admin staff to document transactions and coordinate payment & transport logistics.
  • Utilizing your personal knowledge, internal specialists, vendor contacts and other available sources to keep transactions progressing.
  • Maintaining continuous follow up throughout the completion of all purchasing cycles.
  • Other related tasks in furtherance of the above.


What You Will Bring:


  • A Positive Attitude and Team Player Mindset
  • Prior Experience in the Electrical Energy Industry
  • Medium-voltage Electrical product knowledge; including lighting, switchgear, controls and electrical commodities is essential.  High-voltage knowledge also an asset.
  • Customer oriented and self-motivated, well-organized with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • General computer skills, including experience with MS Office.
  • Experience interacting with customers in person and on the phone
